Set during the same summer as Woodstock, over 300,000 people gathered at the Harlem Cultural Festival to celebrate African American music and culture. Recordings of the festival were stored away for more than 50 years, and are finally revealed to bring the event back into America’s history.

My take

If you want a long, music-forward look at a once-hidden Harlem festival, you’ll likely enjoy this; Not for you if you prefer minimal interviews or want strictly nonstop performances like Woodstock or Searching for Sugar Man.
