Audience

Set before Captain Kirk takes command of the U.S.S. Enterprise, the series follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, and Number One as they lead the ship on missions to explore unfamiliar worlds and encounter new challenges across the galaxy.

My take

You may enjoy this optimistic, adventure-focused space series if you like classic Star Trek, colorful visuals, and self-contained missions; Not for you if you prefer tightly serialized drama or a consistently serious tone.
