Spartacus

A rebellious slave is sold to a gladiator trainer and forced to fight for Roman entertainment. After turning against his owners, he leads fellow slaves in a growing revolt, seeking freedom and a way to return home while Rome moves to crush the uprising.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy sweeping historical epics, political drama, and stories of resistance, especially Ben-Hur or The Great Escape; Not for you if slow pacing and old-fashioned style frustrate you.
