In 17th-century Japan, two missionaries journey into a country where Christianity is forbidden to find their missing mentor. As they encounter hidden believers, persecution, and pressure to abandon their faith, their convictions are tested by suffering, doubt, and difficult moral choices.

My take

You may appreciate this if you enjoy serious, spiritually challenging historical dramas such as The Last Temptation of Christ, but Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, easy answers, or lighter viewing.
