Savage Island

During a young married couple's visit to their family on a remote island, they are indirectly involved in a tragedy: a young boy belonging to the island's hillbilly population is fatally run over. Revenge begets revenge in a brutal game of "Eye For an Eye" that will leave no winners on either side standing.

My take

A tense, unsettling exploration of guilt and isolation when a tragedy shatters the fragile peace of an island community. This is for viewers drawn to slow-burn horror that relies on dread and moral complexity rather than scares.
