Salem's Lot

A writer returns to his childhood town seeking inspiration, only to find the community under threat from a bloodthirsty vampire. As strange disappearances and unsettling events mount, he joins a small group of allies in a desperate fight to survive and stop the darkness spreading.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a fast, stylish vampire horror with spooky visuals and action, but Not for you if you prefer slow-building dread, rich character development, or the atmosphere of The Stand.
