An aging London barrister defends accused clients in criminal courts while navigating difficult cases, office politics, and a demanding home life. Each self-contained story blends courtroom mysteries with dry observations about authority, justice, colleagues, and everyday human absurdity.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you prefer witty, character-driven British legal dramas with self-contained cases and dry humor; Not for you if you want nonstop action or consistently high-stakes courtroom victories.
