Robin Hood

A soldier makes a promise to a dying knight and travels to Nottingham to return his sword. There, he takes on the dead man’s identity, becomes close to his widow, and faces growing hostility from powerful local and royal forces.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a darker, war-focused reinterpretation with grand battles and medieval atmosphere; Not for you if you prefer the lighter outlaw adventure of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
