Rio

A domesticated macaw who cannot fly travels from Minnesota to Rio de Janeiro after learning that a lone female of his kind may still exist. When animal smugglers capture them, the mismatched pair must escape and navigate a colorful, perilous adventure toward freedom.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this colorful, upbeat family adventure if you like Ferdinand or Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs; Not for you if predictable stories and frequent musical numbers quickly wear thin.
