A restless young film critic decides directing is the best form of film criticism and persuades a producer to finance a low-budget feature. With help from fellow filmmakers, he assembles an uncertain cast and crew to make a gangster story, turning the chaotic production into an ambitious experiment.

You’ll enjoy this affectionate, funny look at rebellious filmmakers and the messy creative process, especially if you appreciate French New Wave cinema; Not for you if you prefer straightforward plots or polished conventional productions.
