Noah's Ark
The 1925 film The Ark follows Americans Al and Travis and a German woman, Marie, who survive an Orient Express wreck. When WWI breaks out, Travis marries Marie but is later forced to join the war. After Marie is unjustly sentenced to death as a spy, the film cuts to a biblical allegory of Noah's Ark, making a parallel between the war and a vengeful God's wrath.
An ambitious silent epic that braids intimate human tragedy with biblical grandeur. This is for viewers who crave emotional depth and don't mind cinema that asks big questions about fate, sacrifice, and whether we deserve redemption.
