Moonlight

Across three chapters, a quiet young man grows up in Miami while facing bullying, family struggles, and uncertainty about his identity. Guided by a few caring connections and shaped by difficult choices, he searches for acceptance, love, and a way to define himself on his own terms.

My take

You’ll likely appreciate this intimate, emotionally heavy coming-of-age drama if you enjoy Aftersun or The Florida Project; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, frequent dialogue, or action-driven stories.
