On Call

A veteran training officer and her rookie ride-along patrol Long Beach while navigating difficult calls, department politics, and the aftermath of losing a fellow officer. Their developing partnership brings them into contact with the pressures, conflicts, and everyday realities of modern policing.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this gritty, fast-paced police drama if you appreciate Southland or S.W.A.T.; Not for you if you prefer longer episodes, lighter stories, or highly polished, consistently likable characters.
