Last of the Summer Wine

Set in the Yorkshire Dales, three senior men without the usual daily pressures spend their days speculating about townsfolk and cooking up adventures. Their outings and mischief are built around friendly rivalry, day-to-day escapades, and life in a tight-knit community.

My take

If you want a long-running, gentle, feel-good sitcom with easy humor and plenty of small-town fun, you’ll likely enjoy Last of the Summer Wine; Not for you if you want sharp, non-repetitive comedy like It Ain’t Half Hot Mum or Open All Hours.
