Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Four teenagers in detention discover an old video game console and are pulled into the jungle world of its game, where they take on the bodies of their avatars. To find their way home, they must work together, adapt to unfamiliar strengths and weaknesses, and face a series of dangerous challenges.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you want a light, family-friendly adventure with body-swap comedy, video game jokes, and an energetic ensemble; Not for you if you want serious danger, an original story, or a close match to the first film.
