In the Heights

A bodega owner in Washington Heights faces a difficult choice between pursuing a dream of returning to the Dominican Republic and remaining in the neighborhood he calls home. Around him, family, friends, romance, and community ties shape a lively story about belonging, ambition, and shared hopes.
