In 1999, a group of devoted science-fiction fans embarks on a cross-country journey to obtain an advance screening of a highly anticipated space adventure for their seriously ill friend. Their mission revives an old childhood dream and leads to a string of comic mishaps, rivalries, and heartfelt moments.

You’ll enjoy this affectionate, reference-heavy road comedy if you love fandom, friendship, and nostalgic silliness; Not for you if juvenile humor and frequent science-fiction in-jokes quickly wear thin.
