Die Hard

During a Christmas party in a Los Angeles skyscraper, terrorists seize the building and take hostages. An off-duty police officer escapes capture and must navigate the tower alone, using his resourcefulness to survive, protect those inside, and find a way to stop the attackers.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy tense, fast-paced action with humor, a resourceful everyman hero, and a memorable villain; Not for you if you prefer quieter dramas or dislike graphic violence.
