Diary Of A Lost Girl

Thymian, a young woman, is seduced by her father's assistant and becomes pregnant. Refusing to marry him, she's sent to a harsh reformatory. After escaping and learning of her child's death, she falls into prostitution. Eventually, she marries a count, but her past continues to haunt her. The film explores themes of societal hypocrisy and the consequences of sexual exploitation.

My take

A haunting silent masterpiece about a woman crushed by society's cruelty and hypocrisy. Visceral, unflinching, and deeply empathetic—this is cinema that demands your full attention and stays with you long after.
