Desert Son

Phillip, a high schooler from an abusive family, is left for dead in the middle of the desert. A pair of teenage orphans from a nearby ghost town rescue Phillip, and waste no time inducting him into their gang. Petty crimes are a means of surviving the unforgiving terrain, but when one of their sprees ends in tragedy, the three renegades will have to survive each other.

My take

A raw, gritty coming-of-age thriller about survival and belonging. When a desperate teenager finds unlikely refuge with a gang of orphans in a ghost town, he's pulled into a world where trauma bonds people together—and violence simmers beneath every interaction.
