Demolition Man

A hard-charging detective and a dangerous criminal are cryogenically imprisoned after a disastrous confrontation. Decades later, the criminal escapes into a peaceful future city, forcing authorities to awaken the detective to pursue him in a world unprepared for old-fashioned violence.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like loud, self-aware 1990s action with futuristic satire and cheesy humor; Not for you if you want subtle writing, realistic action, or a consistently serious tone.
