Death Wish 3

An architect and vigilante returns to New York City to visit an old friend, only to become entangled in a neighborhood terrorized by a violent gang. After a crooked police chief makes him an unofficial ally, he takes the fight directly to the criminals.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like exaggerated 1980s action, relentless shootouts, and darkly comic excess in the vein of Cobra or Commando; Not for you if you want realism, subtlety, or restrained violence.
