In the late 1890s, an ambitious young woman leaves her small-town home for Chicago, hoping to find work and a better life. My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy serious period melodramas, complicated relationships, and standout acting, especially in the vein of The Heiress or A Place in the Sun; Not for you if you want light entertainment or fast pacing.
