Bye Bye Brazil

A young accordionist joins a traveling Gypsy caravan led by a Gypsy lord, captivated by an erotic dancer named Salome. When the accordionist's wife has a baby and the caravan falls on hard times, he must choose between leaving the caravan or letting his wife become a prostitute.

My take

A hypnotic portrait of desire and desperation set against the backdrop of a nomadic Gypsy caravan. This is cinema for when you're ready to sit with moral ambiguity and the impossible choices that grind people down—no easy answers, just raw human struggle.
