Blue Hawaii

A recently discharged soldier returns to Hawaii and resists his family’s plans for his future. Choosing independence, he becomes a tour guide, balancing a new career, romance, family expectations, and the lively demands of a teacher and her teenage charges.

My take

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want a breezy romantic musical with tropical scenery, familiar songs, and light comedy; Not for you if you prefer stronger drama or more natural performances.
