Beneath A Sea Of Lights

A Somali billboard repairman working in Dubai decides he wants to experience some of the products advertised on his boards–an experience that begins innocently enough, but quickly spins out of control, especially when a con man enters the picture.

My take

A character study that strips away glamour to reveal desperation. Follow a man chasing the dream sold to him on billboards, only to discover how quickly aspiration turns to entrapment. Tense, absorbing, and darkly cautionary.
