A Wedding In New York

Carlos, a good-looking, unscrupulous man living in Spain, is asked by his pious mother to represent the family at a stateside wedding. He happily obliges, but with ulterior motives, and convinces his friend, Gonzalo, to keep him company on the trip. Once across the Atlantic, Carlos lays bare his true plans: Gonzalo will impersonate him at the wedding, while Carlos seduces an old flame living in Brooklyn, but things go awry when the two friends fall for the bride-to-be and the groom's mistress!

My take

A breezy romantic comedy about deception and desire that spirals delightfully out of control. Perfect for when you want something charming, funny, and utterly unserious—the kind of film that doesn't ask much of you except to sit back and enjoy the chaos.
