A Tale of Two Cities
CriticsCritics: 90
AudienceAudience: 7.6
Against the upheaval of the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror, a French doctor is released after 18 years in the Bastille and reunited with the daughter he has never met. His new life in London becomes connected to the dangers and divided loyalties surrounding revolutionary France.
My takeYou’ll enjoy this if you like emotionally charged literary adaptations, historical upheaval, and stories of redemption, while fans of Great Expectations may appreciate its classic Dickens atmosphere; Not for you if you prefer subtle, fast-paced drama.
