The X Files: I Want to Believe

Former FBI partners are drawn back into an unsettling investigation when a disgraced priest claims to receive psychic visions about a missing agent. As the case grows darker, one partner also struggles to help a seriously ill child, forcing both to confront questions of faith, science, and belief.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like The X-Files’ darker standalone mysteries, restrained supernatural tension, and emotionally driven character drama; Not for you if you expect aliens, conspiracy mythology, or a large-scale action thriller.
