The Thirteenth Floor

After a wealthy man discovers a disturbing secret about his world, he leaves a desperate message for a colleague inside a computer-generated reality. When the man is killed, the colleague becomes the prime suspect and follows clues through a noir-inspired simulation to uncover what happened.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like cerebral science-fiction mysteries, virtual realities, and noir atmosphere, especially films such as 12 Monkeys or Source Code; Not for you if you need polished effects or consistently strong dialogue.
