The Secret Agent

In 1977 Brazil, a technology expert on the run travels to Recife during Carnival, hoping to reunite with his son. As he settles in, he discovers that the city offers little safety, drawing him into a tense world of political pressure, hidden histories, and uncertain loyalties.

You’ll enjoy this if you like atmospheric political dramas with unusual humor, strong performances, and open-ended storytelling; Not for you if you want a fast, tightly plotted thriller with clear resolutions.
