The Secret Agent
CriticsCritics: 95
AudienceAudience: 7.4
In 1977 Brazil, a technology expert on the run travels to Recife during Carnival, hoping to reunite with his son. He soon finds that the city is not the safe haven he expected, as political danger and corruption close in around him.
My takeYou’ll like this if you enjoy patient, atmospheric political dramas with unusual humor, strong performances, and historical weight; Not for you if you want a straightforward, tightly paced thriller like Bacurau.
