The Postman

In a fractured America after a devastating collapse, a wandering performer survives by entertaining isolated communities. After discovering a postal uniform and mailbag, he adopts a new identity as a messenger from a restored government, unintentionally spreading hope and encouraging people to resist a brutal militia.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like idealistic post-apocalyptic adventures such as Steel Dawn, but Not for you if you dislike long runtimes, broad heroics, or openly sentimental storytelling.
