The Ladykillers

A group of criminals rent rooms from an eccentric elderly widow, pretending to be classical musicians while preparing a bank robbery. Their carefully arranged scheme becomes increasingly difficult as the unsuspecting landlady’s presence, habits, and strong sense of right and wrong complicate their plans.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like witty crime farces, eccentric characters, and comedy with a macabre edge, especially Kind Hearts and Coronets or The Lavender Hill Mob; Not for you if you prefer realistic, consistently gentle humor.
