During World War I, a British mill town’s choral society struggles after many male singers leave for military service. A controversial musician is brought in to lead the group, while townspeople face changing relationships, grief, social divisions, and pressure to support the war effort through a major public performance.

My take

You may enjoy this if you like gentle historical dramas such as Sunshine on Leith, especially stories about community, music, and resilience; Not for you if you want sharp tension, deep character arcs, or a less predictable wartime drama.
