The Boxtrolls

An orphaned boy raised by underground creatures called Boxtrolls ventures into the town above to protect his family. With help from a determined young girl, he confronts prejudice, uncovers the truth about the creatures, and challenges an ambitious exterminator threatening their home.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like imaginative, slightly dark family animation such as Coraline or Frankenweenie; Not for you if you want a fast-paced story with deeply developed characters.
