Striking Distance

A detective from a police family believes a fellow officer killed his father, but his accusations cost him his position. Reassigned to river duty with a new partner, he investigates bodies found in the waterways as a killer targets women from his past and frames him for the crimes.

You may enjoy this if you like straightforward 1990s cop thrillers with mystery, action, and a gruff hero; Not for you if you want originality, subtlety, or consistently believable plotting.
