Step Up

After vandalizing a performing arts school, a troubled young man is assigned community service there. He discovers a passion for dance and partners with a talented student, finding a chance to pursue new ambitions while navigating romance, friendship, and the expectations surrounding their very different worlds.

You’ll likely enjoy this if you want an upbeat, romantic dance drama with energetic performances and a feel-good mood; Not for you if formulaic stories and predictable conflicts frustrate you, like in Save the Last Dance.
