Slumberland

A young girl finds a secret map to a dreamworld called Slumberland and, with help from a strange outlaw, journeys through dreams while trying to outrun threatening nightmares. Her goal is to reunite with her late father, believing the dreamworld may help make that wish possible.

My take

If you want a whimsical, colorful family fantasy about dreaming and facing fear, Slumberland is an easy pick; Not for you if you dislike heavy CGI, prefer more grounded stories, or want tight pacing like Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb or Luck.
