In 1980s Dublin, a teenage boy facing family troubles and a difficult new school starts a band to impress a girl he likes. As the group finds its sound, music gives the teenagers a way to express themselves, build confidence, and imagine a different future.

You’ll likely enjoy this if you like nostalgic 1980s music, heartfelt coming-of-age stories, and feel-good romance, especially films such as Once or Begin Again; Not for you if you want gritty realism or complex plotting.
