They’re ordinary husband-and-wife realtors until she undergoes a dramatic change that kicks their lives into a chaotic, darkly funny downward spiral. The results are death-and-destruction in a good way, as they try to keep their family life together while everything changes.

My take

If you want a hilariously dark, quirky comedy about a suburban couple’s bizarre transformation, Santa Clarita Diet delivers, but Not for you if you dislike gory horror-comedy or want a family-friendly tone like Zombieland.
