Rising Damp

In a shabby bedsit, a landlord tries to maintain his authority while his long-suffering tenants repeatedly expose his cowardice, vanity, and self-important schemes. The series builds its comedy around their tense everyday living arrangements and the landlord’s constant attempts to stay in control.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like character-driven British sitcoms, exaggerated social tensions, and the spirit of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin; Not for you if you dislike dated attitudes or abrasive comedy.
