Red Sun

In 1870, a Japanese diplomatic party travels across the American West carrying a ceremonial sword for the U.S. president. After a train robbery and betrayal, an American outlaw and a samurai must reluctantly work together to recover the stolen weapon while pursuing the dangerous bandit who took it.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like unusual, lighthearted Western adventures with mismatched partners and plenty of action; Not for you if you want realism, subtle drama, or consistently brisk pacing.
