Red Sparrow

After an injury ends her ballet career, a young woman with an uncertain future is drawn into a secret intelligence program that trains people to use their minds and bodies as weapons. As she adapts to its harsh demands, she meets a CIA agent who offers help, while questions of trust and loyalty grow more pressing.

My take

You may enjoy this dark, suspenseful spy thriller if you prefer psychological tension and questions of trust over nonstop action; Not for you if slow pacing, grim subject matter, or graphic sexual violence are deal-breakers.
