R.I.P.D.

After being killed, a police officer is recruited into a supernatural law-enforcement unit made up of deceased officers. Paired with a tough veteran from another era, he patrols the living world, hunts escaped spirits, and searches for answers about his murder.

My take

You may enjoy this as lightweight supernatural buddy-cop entertainment with goofy action and an over-the-top veteran partner; Not for you if you want sharp comedy, strong logic, or the polished charm of Men in Black.
