Payback

After a heist goes wrong, a tough career criminal is betrayed, shot, and left for dead by his wife and partner. Months later, he returns to reclaim his share of the stolen money, pursuing those responsible through a dangerous criminal underworld and facing corrupt police along the way.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like bleak revenge stories, morally corrupt antiheroes, dark humor, and hard-hitting crime action; Not for you if you prefer realism, sympathetic leads, or restrained violence.
