Obsession

A wealthy New Orleans businessman, still haunted by the loss of his wife, encounters a young woman in Italy who bears a striking resemblance to her. He quickly becomes devoted to her, but their romance takes an unsettling turn as doubts about the past and her identity begin to emerge.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like moody, old-fashioned psychological mysteries with romantic tension and Hitchcockian echoes; Not for you if you prefer fast pacing, naturalistic performances, or tightly realistic plots.
