Nymphomaniac: Vol. I

After a man finds a wounded woman in an alley and takes her home, she recounts the sexual experiences that shaped her life from adolescence onward. Their conversation becomes a series of personal stories and thoughtful digressions, as he responds through his interests in subjects including fishing, literature, mathematics, and music.

My take

You may appreciate this if you enjoy challenging, dialogue-driven dramas such as Dogville or Melancholia; Not for you if explicit sexuality, long conversations, or deliberately provocative storytelling are dealbreakers.
