Audience

An optimistic judge takes charge of the night shift at a Manhattan arraignment court, following a family legacy while trying to manage a quirky crew of oddballs and cynics. Her most notable challenge is a former prosecutor who now works as a public defender.

My take

You may enjoy this if you want a short, gentle courtroom sitcom with an optimistic tone and familiar ensemble dynamics, but Not for you if you expect the sharper humor or emotional depth of the 1984 original.
