Modern Times

A hapless factory worker struggles against exhausting routines and a rapidly changing industrial world. After crossing paths with a young homeless woman, he joins her in a series of comic misadventures while they search for stability, dignity, and the possibility of a better life.

My take

You’ll enjoy this if you like warm, visually driven comedy with social ideas and heartfelt romance, especially City Lights; Not for you if you prefer fast dialogue, modern pacing, or consistently subtle humor.
