During wartime in China, a young woman joins a resistance plot to seduce and assassinate a powerful official working with the occupying government. As she assumes a carefully crafted identity and grows closer to her target, duty, desire, and danger become increasingly difficult to separate.

My take

You’ll like this if you enjoy patient, emotionally intense espionage dramas such as Unfaithful, but Not for you if you dislike graphic sexual content, bleak romance, or long stretches of deliberate tension.
